The base fertilizer application for greenhouse peaches in autumn should have a higher amount of compound fertilizer.

In protected cultivation, just like in open-field cultivation, the autumn application of base fertilizer is of great importance, directly affecting the quality of flower buds and the ability to store nutrients. The difference is that protected cultivation allows the trees to mature earlier. Early! This highlights the advantage of prioritizing the lack of something over abundance. Therefore, the selling price is relatively higher and the profit is greater. More importantly, after the harvest of fruits, a more severe pruning than winter pruning is required, which means the soil organic matter content needs to be higher to make the soil's physical and chemical properties better, providing a more ideal environment for root growth, enabling the roots to grow better, deeper, and improving their resilience and adaptability. Only with deep roots can there be lush leaves, abundant yield and a bumper harvest.

Because it is protected cultivation, during the growth process of the peach trees, they need relatively more C (carbon). The atmospheric space's carbon dioxide is already insufficient (0.3%), and in greenhouses, more carbon dioxide elements need to be produced. It is one of the most important components for synthesizing carbohydrates (organic compounds). Therefore, we understand that 95% of the photosynthetic efficiency products come from carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and fertilizers only account for more than 4% of the total. How to increase the carbon dioxide concentration in the greenhouse to meet the needs of peach fruit growth requires attention to the selection of base fertilizers.

In the actual production process of organic fertilizers, there are C (carbon) source biological organic fertilizers, N (nitrogen) source biological organic fertilizers, and mineral source biological organic fertilizers (weathered coal). When applied to the soil, only the C source biological organic fertilizers will decompose under the action of microorganisms and produce more carbon dioxide. Therefore, choosing Biyibao biological organic fertilizer is the most reasonable. Its main component is corn husk, and the organic matter content is significantly as high as 70%, which is conducive to the reproduction and expansion of microorganisms and small animals. Under the respiration and decomposition of microorganisms and small animals, it continuously generates and releases carbon dioxide, meeting 1% of the carbon demand of fruit growth and development. Thus, the fruit size, color, and quality can be improved accordingly.

In the large greenhouse in Xiaxian, in mid-August, the leftover materials from oil extraction and wood chips were prepared for composting and fermentation treatment for about a month before being applied to the soil in the greenhouse. The purpose was to improve the fruit quality. However, the material selected was N (nitrogen) source materials. Through the decomposition by microorganisms, the leftover materials from oil extraction had less C and more N, resulting in less carbon dioxide production. The more it was used, the more it might affect the sugar increase of the fruits. In addition, the microorganisms have limited ability to decompose wood chips and it is difficult for them to turn it into organic matter that is helpful for soil improvement. It is difficult for it to be absorbed and the utilization rate of humic acid is extremely low. Careful consideration is needed!

The amount of fertilizer should be determined based on the per-acre application rate and the yield.

1. For an area with a yield of less than 1,000 kilograms per mu, you can choose 3-4 bags of Yibinbao + 1-2 bags of silicon-calcium-magnesium micronutrient conditioner + 2-3 bags of Tianlizu.

2. For an area with a yield of around 2,000 kilograms per mu, you can use 4-6 bags of Yibinbao + 2-3 bags of silicon-calcium-magnesium micronutrient conditioner + 3 bags of Tianlizu.

3. For an area with a yield of around 4,000 kilograms per mu, you can use 6-8 bags of Yibinbao + 2-3 bags of silicon-calcium-magnesium micronutrient conditioner + 4 bags of Tianlizu.

If you choose fast-growing or spreading fruit fertilizer, you can combine Yibinbao + silicon-calcium-magnesium conditioner and follow this formula. The spreading fruit fertilizer can be reduced appropriately.

Only by choosing plant-based biological organic fertilizer can beneficial microorganisms decompose and release more carbon dioxide, achieving a CN ratio of 25:1 in the greenhouse, meeting the entire growth and development process of peach trees' fruits. Only when the soil physical and chemical properties are significantly improved can it resist the severe damage to the root system caused by heavy pruning after fruiting, and can more new shoots grow again, laying the foundation for a good flower bud formation and abundant yield next year.
