How to Identify High-Quality Water-Soluble Fertilizers

First, check water solubility.
Dissolve the fertilizer in clean water. If the solution remains clear and transparent, it indicates excellent water solubility. If the solution appears cloudy or even develops sediment, the water solubility is poor and unsuitable for drip irrigation systems.
Second, smell the odor.
High-quality water-soluble fertilizers are made from high-purity raw materials, having no odor or only a very faint, pleasant scent. Fertilizers with strong odors either contain added hormones or excessive harmful substances. While such fertilizers show rapid effects, they offer no benefits to crop disease resistance, sustained yields, or quality.
3. Check the Registration Number
The Ministry of Agriculture mandates that all fertilizer products must have a unique registration certificate per manufacturer, prohibiting certificate sharing or misuse. Buyers can verify authenticity by entering the registration number on the National Fertilizer Quality Supervision and Inspection Center website.
